Plastic Thermoforming Advantages
Plastic Thermoforming offers significantly lower tooling costs and lead times than injection molding and other processes. It is cost effective for both short runs and medium volume production. The process is compatible with a broad range of materials including ABS, Acrylic/PVC, HIPS, HDPE, LDPE, PP, PETG, and polycarbonate.
Plastic Thermoforming does not exhibit the porosity, sink/gate marks and other undesirable conditions on part surfaces common to other processes. In addition, custom color sheet and textured tooling can eliminate the need for paint altogether.
